Erasmus Mundus

The Erasmus Mundus 2009-2013 Programme is a cooperation and mobility programme in the area of Higher Education, implemented by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). In case of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – Strand 1 (EMA2 – STRAND 1), under which the MUNDUS ACP II Project is being developed, the management is carried out under the supervision of the Directorate General EuropeAid (DG Aidco).

The European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management (MALLL) is a multi-site two-year programme, which was established in 2006 under the Erasmus Mundus Scheme. Since then this truly international programme has recruited students and scholars from over 40 countries around the world.

The Erasmus Mundus Masters Course is provided by three European universities and an Australian university:

Lotus is an Erasmus Mundus Action Two Partnership (EMA2) of European and South-East Asian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and Associations aiming at fostering mutual enrichment and better understanding between the EU and South-East Asia (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand), through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at higher education level and to co-operate in the following program activities:

The EuEuropean Master's Program of Computational Logic is offered jointly at the Free-University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy, the Technische Universitat Dresden in Germany, the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal and the Technische Universitat Wien in Austria.

Within this program you have the choice to study at two /three of the four European universities. In addition you can do your project work at the National ICT of Australia (NICTA). You will graduate with a MSc in Computer Science and obtain a multiple degree.

MSc OpSciTech is a unique European Master's Course providing a comprehensive and multidisciplinary coverage of the field of Optics, from upstream scientific aspects to engineering and applications in major sectors of the economy. Offered by six top-level academic partners in five countries, it receives financial support from the European Commission and is supported by major industries such as Alcatel-Lucent, Philips, Saint-Gobain, Thales, Zeiss or ASML.

The CIMET Consortium, composed of four European Universities renowned within the color research community, offers a two-year Master Course Color in Informatics and Media Technology with three areas of specialization: Color Imaging Science, Spectral Color Science and Media Technology. These fields, being emergent, rapidly evolving, and of growing impact on the Information Society Technologies, require specialists and specialized competencies.

The aim of the European Master in Nuclear Fusion Science and Engineering Physics (FUSION-EP) programme is to provide a high-level, multinational, research-oriented education in fusion-related engineering physics, in close relation to the research activities of the partners, together with a well-integrated language and cultural experience.

AstroMundus is a 2-years Erasmus Mundus Masters Course (120 ECTS) in Astronomy and Astrophysics offered by a consortium of 5 partner universities (University of Innsbruck, University of Belgrade, University of Goettingen, University of Padova & University of Rome Tor Vergata) in 4 different countries: Austria, Italy, Germany, and Serbia.

AstroMundus offers an excellent educational level in all branches of Astrophysics, as insured by the wide variety of expertise in the field covered by this international partnership. The main topics covered by the Master programme are:

MESPOM is an Erasmus Mundus Masters course in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management operated by four leading European and two North American Universities and supported by the European Commission.

The students study in at least three out of six consortium universities for at least two years:

The Erasmus Mundus master's programme in Systems Biology (euSYSBIO) is a two-year Master's programme including compulsory mobilty for the students. This programe is cooperation between KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden (KTH), Instituto Superior Tecnologico in Portugal (IST) and Aalto University school of Science and Technology in Finland.

The euSYSBIO programme offers education of high international standard as well as cultural experience from two different European countries and a double degree from two universities.
