Two PhD scholarships and one Postdoc position are available at DTU Fotonik, Department of Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark from October 1, 2008. All assignments are for three years.

PhD scholarship in energy saving retrofitting of buildings. The aim of the PhD project is to develop methods for integrated design of energy saving retrofitting of existing buildings based on the following activities:

The Centre for Social Evolution (CSE) at the University of Copenhagen has 3 vacancies for Ph.D. fellowships to study aspects of social evolution in insect societies, starting on the 1st November or 1st December 2008.CSE has six major research programs, which focus on mating system evolution, information and recognition, social parasitism, disease, invasive ants and the evolution of symbiotic interactions.
