EDC created the International Business Scholarship because international trade is critical to Canada's economic prosperity and we're dedicated to helping students like YOU – the next generation of business leaders – to succeed.

Scholarship Deatails:
The Scholarship includes:

  1. A $3,000 scholarship awarded in spring 2010, and issued in autumn 2010 at the start of the academic year
  2. A potential opportunity to apply for a four-month work term with mentoring from leading industry experts at EDC, worth approximately $10,000 (pending eligibility). Work terms will be available for summer 2010.

Who may Apply:

To be eligible, you must be:

  1. A Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
  2. Currently enrolled in full-time studies at a Canadian university
  3. In second, third or fourth year of an undergraduate program
  4. Enrolled in studies in international business, economics, or combined business with sustainable management or environmental studies
  5. Returning to full-time undergraduate studies in business or economics for the 2010-2011 academic year; and
  6. In excellent academic standing.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply online.
  2. Provide supplementary documents by mail. All documents must be received by Monday, February 1, 2010 (23:59:59 EST). Faxes and e-mails are not accepted.
  3. Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee including academic and EDC representatives. Winners will be notified of their selection by the end of MARCH 2010.

Scholarship Deadline:

  • Online submission- January 25, 2010 (23:59:59 EST).
  • Supplementary documents submission- Monday, February 1, 2010 (23:59:59 EST)
