The International Max Planck Research School for Environmental, Cellular, and Molecular Microbiology in Marburg, Germany offers fellowships for a three-year structured PhD program.

Our graduate school is a joint initiative of the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and Philipps-Universität Marburg and is committed to outstanding and multidisciplinary scientific training in modern microbiology. We provide excellent research facilities in the fields of cellular microbiology, molecular microbiology, microbial biochemistry, biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, plant-microbe interactions, and parasitology. Students broaden their individual PhD projects by joint seminars, lectures, workshops, international research conferences, and retreats. The program is taught in English.

We invite highly qualified and motivated scientists with a Master’s or Diploma degree to apply.

Phd Studentship

Anyone help me to find a Phd Molecular Medical Microbiology.I just finished my MSc Molecular Medical Microbiology with Merit from University of East London, School of Health and Bioscience. UK.This project involved the investigation of the DNA repair gene study of Borrelia recurrentis and Borrelia dutonii, relapsing fever microorganisms from patient from East Africa. The project involved processing samples to carry out PCR and Electrophoresis gel. Valuable skills gained from this work included excellent organisational, data interpretation, bioinformatics, DNA sequencing, SNP anslysis and primer designing.

Any help for Phd information on my field, please let me know.

I am ABOUE Andre from Cameroon I have two master's degrees. The first is a master's with thesis in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology obtained in China in July 2010. The research topic of this Masters dissertation was ‘‘Isolation and Identification of New Anti-Gastric Cancer Natural Compounds from Chinese Traditional Medicinal Herbs”. The project needed to isolate new small molecules Anti-stomach cancer compounds from Chinese herbs and to characterize the acting mechanisms. The second is a master's with essay in Animal Biology with option Animal Physiology obtained in Cameroon in 2004. I want to further my PhD degree. I need details of the program and how to get scholarship. Please help me by replying.
