The International Max Planck Research School for Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics offers to excellent students with a Master degree in natural science and first experiences in atmospheric research PhD projects in an highly international working environment at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz / Western Germany. Very good English skills are necessary. First experiences in either trace gas analysis or instrumental construction or atmospheric modelling are desirable. Two reference letters are requisite.

PhD projects may include research in laboratory work on atmospheric trace gases or aerosols, field measurements in diverse world regions or computer modelling of atmospheric chemistry and physics. Details depend on the focus of our research groups. Their research is described on the website: www.mpch-mainz.mpg.de

Excellent applications are always welcome, there is no specific deadline for admission to the PhD program. PhD candidates will benefit from an educational program. They may be involved in University teaching.
