International Scholarships

Google has paired with UNCF to encourage students to continue their education and excel in the fields of computing and technology. Through its scholarship, Google hopes to remove the financial barriers that prevent many African Americans from pursuing degrees in the fields of computer science and computer engineering.

School of Life and Health Sciences is pleased to announce Scholarship Scheme for international students who apply for 2009/10 academic year. Scholarships are of £1,250 in value to help with the cost of tuition fees and are available for any of the following undergraduate programmes:

• BSc Biomedical Sciences
• BSc Biology
• MPharm Pharmacy

Shell offers scholarships to international students for postgraduate taught degrees at the partner universities in UK and Netherlands. Applications are open for international students (including Pakistani students) for the courses starting in 2009.

Shell Centenary Scholarship Fund

The AISES Google Scholarship will fund scholarships awards to American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian AISES members pursuing degrees in the computer science, computer engineering and management information systems.

The Research Group:

PhD scholarship in structural health monitoring of bridges (up to $50Ktax free) As one of Australia's leading universities, Queensland University of‍Technology (QUT) has a solid record of success in solving problems forindustry and the community, and developing new products and processes.

Dr. Anita Borg contributed much of her life to breaking the barriers that prevented women and minorities from entering the computing and technology industry. Her technical expertise inspired women to work in and excel at positions that were generally occupied by males. To continue Anita's work, Google has introduced the Google Anita Borg Scholarship.

Over 700 different scholarship programs are awarded through this process. Students who complete the academic scholarship application are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

The 2009-2010 Scholarship Application deadline is January 31, 2009.

Entering freshman and transfer students should begin to hear of their awards in mid-March.

The Melbourne Law School has a faculty agreement with the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. Under that agreement, Melbourne and Oxford jointly fund an annual scholarship providing £5,000 for a Melbourne University Law graduate to study for the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) at Oxford.
